Qatar Charity (QC) is holding its annual forum in Doha for its field offices worldwide to create harmony between headquarters and its overseas offices, enhance the capabilities of its staff serving in the field, develop the work environment and strengthen the role of field offices in networking and
coordinating at the local, governmental, UN and international levels.
The forum is being held under the theme ‘The Challenges of Governance and Risk Management in Charitable Work’.
The forum, which will conclude on Wednesday, includes 94 specialised training workshops presented by experts on different topics.
It also aims at presenting the modern work systems, which was prepared by its headquarters and discussing ways of applying them by the field offices, reviewing the annual plans of the field offices and consulting on the general framework of the future strategic plan of Qatar Charity.
The workshops reviewed the mechanisms of international coordination and cooperation at the national and sectoral levels, in addition to disaster management and mutual requirements between relief management and field offices and the
role of field offices in enhancing Qatar Charity’s identity
and improving marketing
performance.
Ezzeddin Dhaifallah, director of Qatar Charity’s office in Ghana, said that the forum dealt with many important topics, pointing out that Qatar Charity is exerting efforts to train its employees, as it fully realises that human cadre is the most significant element for the success.
For his part, Mohammed Amin Omar, Director of Qatar Charity’s office in Bangladesh, considered the forum a valuable opportunity to directly learn and apply new policies, regulations and procedures in order to achieve the goal of providing services to people.
