MES Indian School is organising an international trip to the United States of America from April 9 to April 18, 2019 to widen students’ horizon on the world of high-tech innovation, deepen their innovative ingenuity, and to facilitate global cultural awareness.
A total of 121 members, including students, parents and teachers, are taking part in two batches of the educational expedition.
The team is divided into two groups with group one comprising 53 students, seven parents and six teachers leaving for the US on April 9,
while the second group with 46 students, four parents and five teachers will leave on April 11.
The ten-day visit includes a camp at Kennedy Space Centre in Orlando, UN Headquarters in New York, Disney Land, Washington DC and Miami.
During the three-day camp at Kennedy Space Centre ,visitors will be engaged in exceptional adventurous activities, which will provide a unique experience to them besides adding to their scientific inquiry. The campers team up as they are presented with everyday challenges facing astronaut- related science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Besides, interactions with the astronaut trainees will educate the participants about the challenges faced by the astronauts in space and research of NASA experiment programme. They will operate robots and experience a guided tour of the Kennedy Space Complex. The entire programme is being organised through Qatar-based ITL-World Travel Company.
“Such an educational venture enriches our students in terms of experiencing the latest technology involved in space and research programme, besides providing a platform to relate classroom teachings to the real-life situation,” said Hameeda Kadar, principal of MES Indian School.
