‘Record attendance proves siege states’ charges false’ Apr 07, 2019 0 521 12345 QNADohaSpeaker of the Shura Council HE Ahmed Abdullah bin Zaid al Mahmoud said the four states blockading Qatar did not present a joint statement to the general secretariat of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) during the 139th assembly objecting to Qatar hosting the 140th assembly. He also said that such a statement, if it existed, would have been known by all participants and would have been available in the union’s record. He added that the State of Qatar would also have been notified of the objection, in line with the protocol.
