Qatar Chamber (QC) in cooperation with Regional Network for Social Responsibility (RNSR) has concluded the training programme for the international community responsibility licence (CSR International) which is one of the United Nations programmes adopted for the Global Compact Academy for social responsibility.
Delivered by RNSR deputy chairman Ali Abdullah al Ibrahim, the programme provided the trainees with full knowledge of the concept of community responsibility, the principles of the UN Global Compact and its implementation mechanisms, standards of community responsibility and the preparation and design of community initiatives, QC said in a statement onb Tuesday.
The programme also addressed tools to enable companies to achieve sustainable social returns, encourage the private sector to seek comprehensive and environmentally friendly solutions, and increase social solidarity among different segments of society.
The programmed also addressed the reports of social responsibility and its role in achieving the quality of business in institutions and community giving, as well as policy and procedure guidelines for applying corporate social responsibility principles, innovation in designing community-driven initiatives and marketing tools for community initiatives.
Meanwhile, the first real estate committee meeting was held in QC for the current year under the chairmanship of QC Board Member Abdulrahman Abdul Jaleel al Abdul Ghani.
The meeting discussed the issues and topics related to the development of the real estate sector in the country.
The real estate committee is concerned with discussing ways of developing the real estate sector in Qatar, limiting and studying the problems and obstacles facing them, finding suitable solutions for it and recommending the concerned parties to discuss ways of activating them.
