THE Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has been granted two Sustainability Awards (2016) in health and education facilities by the Gulf Organization for Research and Development ‘GORD’, the first performance-based system in the MENA region.
Over the past year, GORD examined the designs of educational and health building projects and conducted site visits to Ashghal’s projects to verify if they matched GSAS standards.
Ashghal Building Affairs is working on health projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health.
The Primary Health Care sector has recently seen a boom with the opening of unique and sprawling health centres with unprecedented services and a capacity to accommodate large numbers of visitors.
