COLLEGE of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) hosted a job fair and career awareness day that saw hundreds of students participating in the exhibition, hosting more than 30 of Qatar’s top employers.
The day was designed to allow students to meet representatives from Qatar’s top businesses and experience the variety of career options available to them. It was also an opportunity for prospective employers to scout potential talent. All sectors of the economy were represented including banking and commerce, technology, telecommunications, healthcare, and the energy, oil and gas industry.
Leading up to the event, students were given the opportunity to work closely with career advisors at CNA-Q to practice their job pitch skills, receive interview tips and help sharpen their resumes.
“The number of students in attendance and the number of companies, who were part of the fair, was unprecedented. The excellent turn out shows that CNA-Q students are eagerly looking forward to their careers in Qatar”, said Associate Vice President - Student Affairs, Eng Aljazzi Fatais.
“We take pride in ensuring our students are fully prepared to enter the workforce and contribute toward fulfilling the promise of Qatar National Vision 2030. We start by ensuring all of our programmes are aligned to the needs of Qatar’s growing business and industry sectors so that students are technically prepared with the skills needed in the labour market. On top of this strong foundation we offer events, such as this, for students to gain insight and make the right connections for themselves.”
