On the occasion of the International Women’s Day (IWD) 2019, Australian Ambassador to Qatar HE Dr Axel Wabenhorst and Vice-Chair of Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA) Aisha Alfardan will host a celebration at the St Regis Hotel on Tuesday, March 5.
The event will commence at 10am.
Building on this year’s theme ‘Balance for Better’, the Australian Embassy and the Qatari Businesswomen Association will host a panel discussion focusing on women’s experience working in the business sector.
The panelists will include Australian and Qatari women working in senior positions across a variety of sectors in Qatar.
They will share their expertise and discuss the challenges and opportunities women face working in business in Qatar and worldwide, the lessons they have learnt along the way, and their advice for women looking to establish or develop their careers in Qatar and overseas.
The panel will include an interactive question-answer session, and will be followed by the opportunity for guests to network over brunch. A number of leading women from Qatar, the diplomatic community and the Australian community are likely to attend the event.
