Bogota/Geneva: Venezuela’s self-declared interim president Juan Guaido on Wednesday called on Venezuelans to take to the streets until President Nicolas Maduro steps down. “We shall not abandon the streets until we achieve the end of the usurpation [by Maduro],” Guaido vowed in a voice recording published on Twitter. Guaido also said he would discuss possible action against Maduro with public sector employees, and called for a new meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation in Venezuela. (dpa)
