Qatar Airways (QA) is the Official Airline Partner for the Qatar-India Music Extravaganza, a spectacular event that will see Bollywood’s ‘Sultans of Swag’ Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani performing live for the first time in Doha.
The concert will be presented by FAB Entertainment and will take place at the state-of-the-art Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena in Doha on March 1.
The much-anticipated concert will also include a special performance by famous Qatari singer Fahad al Kubaisi, who will wear a bespoke ensemble by global fashion designer Manish Malhotra. This Qatari-Indian duet performance will take place as part of the Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019, a year-long collaboration that sees both countries jointly celebrating their unique cultural legacies.
The concert will feature globally-acclaimed Indian singer-songwriter duo Vishal and Shekhar, who are known for delivering chart-toppers ever year for the Indian music industry. Their biggest hit, ‘Swag Se Swagat’, became the world’s fastest song to hit 100 million views on YouTube before going on to reach nearly 700 million views. The duo has composed music for more than 60 films, released more than 300 songs and has performed in more than 500 live concerts.
QA Senior Vice-President Marketing and Corporate Communications Salam al Shawa said: “As the Official Airline Partner, Qatar Airways looks forward to being the bridge between Qatar and India, whose close partnership will be highlighted in this concert that will acknowledge the universal language of music shared between both the nations.”
FAB Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Fauzia Adeel Butt said, “After the spectacular success of Fashion Weekend International, we are delighted to again be partnering with Qatar Airways for this concert which will see the first-ever Indian-Qatari voice collaboration, with Fahad al Kubaisi taking the stage with Vishal and Shekhar. 2019 is a special year indeed, where Qatar and India celebrate an entire year of cultural exchange.”
