Marc Lynch, professor of political science and director of the Project on Middle East Political Science at George Washington University in Washington, DC, as well as the author of several books on the Middle East, will speak at NU-Q on ‘Displacement and Wars in the Middle East’.
The event will be moderated by Everette E Dennis, dean and CEO of NU-Q, on Tuesday at 1pm.
Lynch has been a member of the Content Advisory Group for the university’s museum – The Media Majlis at Northwestern University in Qatar – since 2012. He is also a non-resident senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a contributing editor at the Monkey Cage blog for The Washington Post.
Lynch, one of the most widely-quoted experts on Middle East politics and media, is the author of ‘The New Arab Wars: Anarchy and Uprising in the Middle East’ and ‘The Arab Uprising: The Unfinished Revolutions of the New Middle East’, which The Economist called “the most illuminating and, for policymakers, the most challenging” book yet written on the topic.
Media wishing to attend the event should contact NU-Q to reserve a seat.
