MUFG won the Global Bank of the Year award at 2018 Project Finance International (PFI) Awards Dinner, held in London on Wednesday.
Daisuke Bito, Global Head of Structured Finance at MUFG collected the top award.
Bito said, “This award is a reflection of the combined efforts, expertise and professionalism of MUFG’s team of more than 300 project finance professionals around the world.
The awards have leveraged PFI’s global reputation – built over 26 years – to become the most prestigious in the industry, and seek to recognise and celebrate institutions that have demonstrated outstanding levels of performance, professionalism and innovation over the past year.
Now in its 15th year, the event was attended by over 700 project finance professionals and saw £22,224 raised for Save the Children – with £7,500 of that donated by event sponsor Nebras Power.
“Nebras Power has a history of engaging in a range of philanthropic activities that advance education, health and science in the communities where Nebras has significant operations.
“We are proud to support various foundations around the world, and join other donors in their generous support of Save the Children,” said Khalid Mohammed Jolo, CEO of Nebras Power.
