PRIME Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) at its headquarters on Monday.
The meeting discussed the progress of works in the projects of FIFA World Cup (Qatar 2022), especially in light of the transition from the stage of preparing the necessary infrastructure for the tournament, to the stage of organisation and delivery and focus on the operational plans of the tournament.
The prime minister also directed the concerned authorities to take the necessary steps to overcome all the difficulties to ensure the organisation of an extraordinary World Cup in 2022.
Following the meeting, the prime minister toured the Legacy Pavilion at SC headquarters in Al Bidda Tower where he was briefed on the operational plans necessary to prepare for the championship.
