Speaking at a forum on Wednesday, Brig Hajri said they are cooperating with media outlets to raise traffic safety awareness. “The decline in the number of road accidents is a result of more awareness among people,” he added.
He said the Traffic Department is adopting an awareness strategy that targets training and conducting studies to send people messages on the best practices for safe use of roads. “We are keen on holding national events that can raise traffic awareness and having strong presence in the national celebrations such as the National Day and the Traffic Week”, Hajri explained.
