In order to facilitate Certified Management Accountant (CMA) students with the programme highlights, Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) successfully conducted CMA P1 free boot camp in association with IMA Doha Chapter LLD (G). Held at Intercontinental Doha recently, the event intended to update accountants on new CMA practices and prepare them to be at par with the changing dynamics.
With Asham al Masri as the facilitator, the event started with a brief info session about the CMA certificate, its contents, eligibility criteria, exam and membership fees, etc. Asham is the vice president for Admin and Finance at the IMA Doha Chapter.
The second part of the event was moderated by Ahmed Mahmoud, who facilitated a workshop about the CMA part one preparation for over seven hours.
Ahmed is a professionally and globally certified CA with a wide experience in accounting, auditing, financial management, financing consulting and assurance services. He currently works as the head of accountants in one of the leading private entities with public interest in Qatar, managing more than 18 separate companies under its control.
On this occasion, Dr Mohammed al Emadi, head of Sales and Marketing, QFBA, said:“We are pleased to host this facilitation meet for our CMA students in association with IMA Doha Chapter. This event offered the participants a sneak peek into the programme offerings and how they can enhance their professional skills by way of this course. We also provided our students some of the most effective exam tips to excel in their academic profile. At QFBA, we have been constantly challenging our students to stand the test of times and this course would steer their skillsets in the right direction to carve a great future for themselves and their respective organisations.”
On their part, Moamen Omar Ali, (IMA- Doha Chapter president), said:“We take pride in joining hands with the academic institution of such a great repute. By coming together, we are not only moulding the mindsets of young financial professionals but also creating the bright future for the financial sector of Qatar. Our country has been witnessing interesting economic growth and we have the calibre to condition our young generation to spearhead this growth through right knowledge and academic insights and this course aims to do just that and more by precisely honing their skills and making them the most suited financial professionals in times to come.”
Earning the CMA credential certifies that professionals have the skills needed to succeed at financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and it also represents their commitment to professional ethics. In addition to these basic skills, the CMA certification focuses on advanced skills such as budgeting, forecasting, and managing costs. All these are required to effectively evaluate investment opportunities and support strategic financial decisions based on solid analysis and sound ethics.
