Five strategic food security projects will be completed in the first quarter of 2019. The first quarter will also see the launch of new central markets in Al Wakra and Al Sailiya, relocation of Souq Haraj to its new headquarters and launch of fish farming project. Speaking on Al-Rayyan TV, Khamis Ahmed al Mohannadi, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Ministerial Group to Support and Motivate the Private Sector, said a project providing 1 million square metres of greenhouses for growing vegetables and fruits will be launched in 2019. The project will help achieve about 43 percent self-sufficiency in fruits and vegetables. page 20
