The presence of renowned Turkish actress Burcin Terzioglu provided the star power to the Turkish Bazar organised by Turkish women entrepreneurs’ group CABA Associates in collaboration with Turkish embassy in Qatar at Hotel St. Regis Doha. Around 140 Turkey-based companies took part in the daylong event displaying traditional and modern high-end fashion garments, ornaments, artificial jewellery, cosmetics, perfumes, etc.
“The event provides an opportunity to showcase for the fashionistas in Qatar high-quality products from Turkey and let the visitors know and see items produced by Turkish women entrepreneurs. It will also help visitors to the Turkish shopping festival make shopping decisions on their next visit to Turkey”, said Ambassador of Turkey to Qatar HE Fikret Ozer. He lauded the humanitarian services rendered by CABA Associates entrepreneurs in Turkey, especially building two schools for Syrian refugee children.
The Turkish envoy took this opportunity to express his own as well as that of the Turkish community heartiest greetings on Qatar National Day to the visionary leadership of Qatar, the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, the Father Amir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, Deputy Amir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani and the brotherly people of Qatar. He prayed for the strength and prosperity of Qatar and its people.
The appearance of actress Burcin Terzioglu at the event delighted the visitors and guests. Turkish community members were seen taking pictures with the leading TV star of their country.
Talking to Qatar Tribune, she said that she was very happy to be in Qatar and participating in the first-ever Turkish Bazar organised by Turkish embassy and Turkish businesswomen represented by CABA Associates.
Prof (Dr) Sadaf, President of CABA Associates, said that she was very happy to be in Qatar and organisitng first ever Turkish shopping festival by her organisation. She said that the sale proceeds from this Turkish Bazar will be spent on the construction of 16-room elementary school for Syrian refugee children. She said that she hopes that this bazar will also go a long way in strengthening relations between both the brotherly states of Qatar and Turkey.
