Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani participated in the ministerial meeting on Libya held in Vienna on Monday and chaired by Italian Foreign Minister and US Secretary of State.
Countries participating in the meeting reiterated that the Presidential Council is the only legitimate body in Libya. They also expressed their willingness to provide support to the Presidential Council to perform its functions and duties in Libya, particularly in dealing with ISIS group.
The participating countries called on the government to provide humanitarian aid in the eastern region, especially in Benghazi. They stressed their support for the efforts of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General Martin Kobler.
