During the inauguration of the training session, NHRC Secretary-General Maryam bint Abdullah al Attiyah stressed the need for establishing national institutions committed to protecting human rights.
She noted that with growing awareness, the issues of human rights and fundamental freedoms have become the main subjects at all international, regional and national conferences.
