QATARI Society of Al Gannas (Sniper Association) concluded its participation in the Larache International Festival of Culture, Arts and Heritage in Morocco with the honouring of winners in various competitions it sponsored.
The festival was held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Members and delegation of the Sniper Association, together with officials of the festival, honoured the winners of the House of Poetry, which was erected in the Black Garden.
In the drawing competition, the winner of the first prize received 5,000 Moroccan dirhams, the second place winner went home with 3,000 Moroccan dirhams while the third place winner got 2,000 Moroccan dirhams.
In the professional shooting competition, the first place winner went home with 5,000 Moroccan dirhams, the second place got 3,000 Moroccan dirhams and the third place winner received 2,000 Moroccan dirhams.
In the amateur shooting competition, the overall winner received 3,000 Moroccan dirhams, the first runner-up got 2,000 Moroccan dirhams while the second runner-up received 1,000 Moroccan dirhams.
Regarding the Hadad Al Salouqi competition, the first three winners went home with 5,000 Moroccan dirhams, 3,000 Moroccan dirhams and 3,000 Moroccan dirhams, respectively, in addition to the distribution of symbolic prizes in kind to the winners of the drawing competition for children.
The deputy chairman of Larache Municipality praised the participation of the Sniper Association. He stressed that the participation indicates the depth of the association's relations with Larache.
"Qataris are always welcomed in the city of Larache and their presence among us has become an annual necessity we cherish in the Larache group as cultural actors," he said.
The festival was organised between July 25 and 30 in Larache city, Morocco, where the Sniper Association participated in the carnival of the festival, which is the largest since the first session.
The Qatari tent 'House of Poetry' received a large number of officials and dignitaries.
The Sniper Association is considered a key partner in the Larache Festival in terms of its competencies.
