Children’s Talent Camp, a summer camp organised by Thrissur Art Centre and run by one of the largest sociocultural organisation of Kerala expatriate community – Thrissur Jillasouhridavedi--- that concluded recently helped children brush up their talent.
The camp conducted under the leadership of educationalist Brahma Nayakam Mahadevan and a team of teachers from India was attended by over 100 students from different age category.
The month-long campaign featured music, theatre and literary programmes. The concluding ceremony featured a special stage show titled ‘ Keraleeyam’ which was the key attraction of the event that saw participation by parents and children. A theatre illustration of a poem written by noted poet ONV Kurup by Krishnan Vettambally was the other attraction of the programme.
Another summer camp with participation by more children and educationalists specialising in child education will begin in September.
The concluding ceremony of the camp was attended by parents and members of Thrissur Jillasouhridavedi and prominent Indian community members.
Social worker and industrialist VS Narayanan inaugurated the function presided over by P Muhasin. Abdul Jabbar welcomed the attendees and Jayanandan proposed a vote of thanks.
