THE Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) and the Social Development Center (NAMA) have signed a collaboration protocol to organise a campaign to raise the youth awareness of Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030 and to clarify youth's role in actualising the vision.
The campaign aims to make the youth aware of QNV's four pillars and transforming its sectors to results on the ground, in addition to the use of a range of guidance tools that contribute to awareness in a way that fits male/female youth within 13 to 45 age groups.
Assistant Undersecretary for Planning Affairs at the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics Hamad Rashid al Athba and Acting Executive Director of NAMA Center Amal bint Abdullatif al Mannai stressed the need to involve the younger generation and prepare them earlier for a good understanding of the QNV, its pillars and strategies.
They also highlight the need to strengthen the role of youth members and their effective contribution to sustainable development in all fields.
The parties looked forward to having successful and fruitful results through the partnership.
The MDPS is responsible for setting and developing the overall vision of the State in cooperation with the relevant authorities, preparing national development strategies and following up on their implementation in coordination with the concerned authorities.
Established in 1996, NAMA Center aims to provide a stimulating environment that contributes to investing in the potential and creativity of youth, as well as to meet their needs and aspirations as partners in civil work, while exploring the best opportunities and innovating to lead the renaissance of their communities.
Since 2013, the centre has been working under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW). NAMA is a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, the Arab Network for NGOs and the World Family Organization. (QNA)
