The results of the first round of examinations of the general and specialised Secondary School Certificate for the academic year 2017-18 were announced on Tuesday.
The Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed al Hammadi endorsed the results.
The success rate in day schools has reached 73.23 percent, while it was 24.20 percent in adult education.
The success rate at the Religious Institute Preparatory Secondary School for Boys was 93.55 percent, while it was 68.31 percent for Qatar Secondary Technical School for Boys, and 77.97 percent for Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration School for Boys.
The minister congratulated the successful students, their parents, teachers, school principals and all those who contributed to this outcome.
He extended his special congratulations to the student who stood first at the Secondary School Certificate level, and the student who secured the first place at the level of Qatari students.
Khalid Ramadan Farih Ahmed Farih from Musab bin Omair Secondary Certificate topped the Secondary School Certificate with a score of 99.75 percent, while Amna Mohammed Issa Shaheen Al Mannai from Bayan Secondary School for Girls ranked first among Qatari students scoring 99.5 percent.
The percentages of those who received the top 10 places in the Secondary Certificate were not less than 99.38 percent.
A total of 10,240 students appeared for the examinations this year.
