The Ministry of Justice started on Sunday the second session for the preparation of authorised notaries at the state level, in the presence of 22 legal members of the Ministries of Interior, Energy and Industry, and Public Health as well as Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
The participants of the five-day session will receive explanations, presentations and practical exercises on the mechanism of legal documentation from specialists in the ministry in order to qualify them for receiving the licence of the authorised notary.
The status of an authorised notary will be granted to non-ministry officials from lawyers and legal experts in the country, especially in remote locations, or whose owners cannot attend the ministry's offices and branches.
The authorised notary will have to perform a legal oath to maintain the trustworthiness of the profession.
Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice for Real Estate Registration and Documentation Saeed Abdullah al Suwaidi said, at the opening of the session, that the minister of justice attaches great importance to the preparation of authorised notaries at various state institutions.
This comes within the framework of the activation of Law No. (3) of 2017 issued by HH the Emir, authorising some persons other than the staff of the Department of Documentation at the Ministry of Justice to do all or some of the functions of the notary, in order to ensure maximum availability of the service at state level, he said.
Suwaidi pointed out that this session is also part of the initiative of the ministry to upgrade services provided to the public of citizens and residents, in addition, to facilitate the access to these services.
