Discover Qatar (DQ) on Wednesday removed from its website a notification that said nationals of India, Iran and Pakistan were required to meet two additional criteria to receive a visa-on-arrival from April 14, 2022.
When Qatar Tribune contacted the Discover Qatar helpline at +974 4423 7103, a call centre operator said the page was removed because the policy had been suspended by the Ministry of Interior.
If anyone has booked a hotel accommodation because of the notification for the purpose of getting a visa-on-arrival, they can apply for a refund through [email protected], the operator added.
Discover Qatar on Tuesday said nationals of India, Iran and Pakistan were required to book a hotel through Discover Qatar for the entire duration of their stay to receive a visa-on-arrival after April 14.
It had said the visa length would match the duration of the hotel stay purchased from Discover Qatar, from a minimum of two days and up to a maximum of 60 days.
