Virus claims life of 82-year-old as 3,087 more test positive in Qatar

Qatar on Saturday reported 3,087 COVID-19 cases – 2,509 among community and 578 among travellers.
The Ministry of Public Health also reported 4,987 recoveries. With this, the active cases in Qatar declined to 38,931 while the total recoveries jumped to 280,800.
In the last 24 hours, the virus claimed the life of an 82-year-old, raising the total number of deaths so far to 633.
As many as 2,739 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total doses given out so far to 5,586,386.
