88-year-old dies of COVID-19 as 3,723 test positive in Qatar

Qatar on Wednesday reported 3,723 COVID-19 cases – 3,364 among community and 359 among travellers.
The Ministry of Public Health also reported 3,542 recoveries. With this, the active cases in Qatar reached 42,324 while the total recoveries jumped to 264,282.
In the last 24 hours, the virus claimed the life of an 88-year-old, raising the total number of deaths so far to 631.
As many as 34,773 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total doses given out so far to 5,513,979.

*With the recent increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
*Adherence to physical distancing.
*Avoiding close contact with others, crowded places and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
