Brace for the coldest spell so far this season as strong winds that are expected to sweep over Qatar from Tuesday are likely to bring temperatures down to as low as 8°C this week. The apparent temperatures might be even less than that in the southern and outer areas, the Qatar Meteorology Department has said.
The northwesterly winds will whip up dust, limiting visibility, and might cause waves to rise above 10 feet offshore, it added.
“Scattered rain is expected to continue [on Monday and Tuesday],” it said.
