The Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the Forensic Medicine Center, has signed a medical cooperation agreement with Sidra Medical and Research Center, within the framework of the two parties' keenness to enhance aspects of cooperation in the medical fields related to their work.

Assistant Director of Public Security Major-General Abdullah Mohammed Al Suwaidi signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry of Interior, while Chief Executive Officer of Sidra Medicine Dr Barbro Friden signed on behalf of Sidra Medical and Research Center.

Major-General Abdullah Mohammed Al Suwaidi stated that the agreement will contribute to facilitating the procedures between the Forensic Medicine Center and Sidra Medicine, during the coming period, which reflects positively on the level of services and tasks provided by the center and contribute to the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two parties, especially in the medical fields related to the work of forensic medicine.

For her part, Dr Barbro Friden, noted the efforts made by the Forensic Medicine Center at the Ministry of Interior, affirming that this agreement is important for both sides and contributes to advancing and developing work and achieving the desired goals that serve the interests of both parties.

In turn, Head of the Forensic Medicine Center Colonel Ahmed Abdul Razzaq Al Mohannadi said that the agreement aims to develop work related to the field of forensic medicine, and exchange experiences, especially since Sidra Medicine and Research has a lot of expertise and has qualified cadres in this field. It also aims to exchange visits and medical responsibilities, which contributes to developing work and advancing it to good levels that serve both parties, he added.
