The Indian Embassy in Doha has dismissed as fake social media posts claiming changes in quarantine conditions for on-arrival visitors, particularly from India.
“There have been FAKE reports on the social media of change in quarantine policy for fully vaccinated Indian Nationals entering Qatar. Please visit MOPH Qatar website regularly for the latest entry policy," the embassy said on Twitter on Sunday.
The caution comes after word spread on social media that on-arrival visitors from India are required to undergo hotel quarantine even if they are fully vaccinated, which is, in fact, incorrect.

Qatar allowed fully vaccinated travellers to enter the country without quarantine from July 12 and it is still in effect, according to information available on the Ministry of Public Health’s website

However, this only applies to recipients of vaccines recognised by Qatar — Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, and conditionally-approved Sinopharm (accepted only if antibody test returns positive).
Visitors must register on ehteraz.gov.qa at least 12 hours before travel, but no more than 72 hours prior, and submit the relevant documents. They will then be issued a travel authorisation, which must be presented before boarding a flight to Doha.
While there are no quarantine requirement for fully vaccinated citizens and residents travelling to Qatar, the unvaccinated among them will have to spend varying periods of quarantine at home or in a hotel depending on where they are coming from — five days at home for those from green-list countries, seven days in a hotel for those from yellow-list countries and 10 days in a hotel for those from red-list countries.
