Qatar's Criminal Investigation Department has arrested a man on charges of breaking into several shops to commit burglary. The CID said he made his way into the shops by smashing doors and glass barriers.
The suspect, identified only as an Arab individual, is said to have confessed to the charges.
The investigation team has seized several "stolen goods" from his residence.
The CID has referred the suspect to competent authorities in preparation for presenting him to the Public Prosecution Office to complete the legal procedures against him.
The Criminal Investigation Department calls on the public and shop owners to install security cameras and surveillance devices and to comply with security requirements to ensure their safety.
