The Qatar Red Crescent Society's headquarters in Gaza was destroyed in what is being described as a "direct bombardment" by Israeli occupation forces on Monday, killing two and injuring more than 10 people.
In a tweet, QRCS condemned the attack and said it was a violation of international humanitarian law. It affirmed that it would continue to provide relief aid to people affected by the Israeli aggression in Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The downing of the QRCS headquarters comes amid a barrage of air strikes being carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip. The overall death toll in the territory now stands at 200, including 59 children and 35 women, with 1,305 injured, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

On Saturday, an Israeli airstrike targeted and destroyed a high-rise building in Gaza City that housed offices of Al Jazeera, The Associated Press and other media outlets hours after another Israeli air raid on a densely populated refugee camp killed at least 10 Palestinians from an extended family, mostly children.
The latest outburst of violence started in Jerusalem and spread across the region over the past week, with Jewish-Arab clashes and rioting in mixed cities of Israel. There were also widespread Palestinian protests Friday in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces shot and killed 11 people. It spiralled from there, and is turning into one of the worst violence in the regions since 2014.
