Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and Ansar Gallery have signed a cooperation agreement on charitable projects during Ramadan. It was signed by Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Malki, CEO of QRCS, and Mohamed Khaldoun Al-Mulqi, Deputy General Manager of Ansar Gallery.
The signing ceremony was attended by Muna Fadel Al-Sulaiti, Executive Director of Volunteering and Local Development Division at QRCS, Hussein Ahmed Mahdi, Assistant General Manager at Ansar Gallery, Hamed Afifi, PR Manager, and Mahmoud Mahrous, Outdoor Sales Executive.
Under the agreement, the two sides will work together to implement the Ramadan Provisions project, which involves distributing prepaid vouchers to poor families registered with QRCS’s social assistance programs. With these coupons, they can purchase food and consumer items through any Ansar Gallery branch across the country.
This way, the beneficiaries will find it easier to secure their food and living needs throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Al-Malki welcomed this partnership with Ansar Gallery and wished that it would continue beyond Ramadan to cove the wide range of social and humanitarian projects implemented by QRCS.
He talked about greater potential of cooperation in providing foreign humanitarian aid, inspired by the principles of humanitarian partnership and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Al-Mulqi communicated the greetings of Dr. Ali Akbar Sheikh, Chairman of Ansar Gallery, and Hussein Saadat, the group’s CEO. He praised QRCS as a landmark of local and international humanitarian action, with its prestigious position as an “investor in giving”.
“We already have ties with QRCS, supplying local assistance items,” said Mr. Al-Mulqi. “We have donated two walkthrough sanitization gates as a complimentary gift to QRCS."
