Qatar’s Cabinet on Wednesday gave its approval to bring back some of the more stringent COVID-19 restrictions as new cases continue to soar in Qatar. The new restrictions will come into effect on Friday (March 26).
As per the weekly Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, the cabinet has announced the following curbs: 

Restaurants
Restaurants and cafes with “Clear Qatar” certificate can operate at 50 percent capacity and those without it at 15 percent capacity. Outdoor eateries can operate at 30 percent capacity. 

Public transport
Doha Metro and public transport vehicles will operate at 30 percent capacity on weekdays and at 20 percent capacity on Fridays and Saturdays. Designated smoking areas in station will remain shut, and food and drink are not allowed in public transport vehicles.

Social gathering
Indoor gatherings in homes and majilis are prohibited; outdoor assemblies restricted to five persons 
While family members residing in the same house can be together in winter camps, weddings in closed and open spaces are banned until further notice.

Beaches and parks
Only a maximum of two persons or family members residing in the same house can gather in beaches, public parks and Doha Corniche (including in playgrounds and around exercise equipment)

Commercial complexes
Commercial complexes, wholesale markets, beauty salons and barber shops will operate at 30 percent capacity; children under the ages of 12 will not be allowed entry at commercial complexes and whole sale markets; amusement parks and entertainment centres will remain closed until further notice.

Mosques
While mosques will continue to perform daily duties and Friday prayers, toilets and ablution facilities will remain shut

Gyms and spas
Health clubs, physical training centres, massage services, saunas, Jacuzzi services, and Moroccan and Turkish baths will remain closed until further notice, with the exception of gyms in hotels for guests.
All swimming pools and water parks will remain closed until further notice.

Healthcare facilities
Capacity of private healthcare facilities reduced to 70 percent. Operational capacity of the services provided by cleaning and hospitality companies during the working hours of the establishments contracted with them limited to 30 percent capacity.

Boat rentals
Rental services of boats, tourist yachts and pleasure boats will remain suspended, with the exception of rental services for family members residing in the same house.
It is the responsibility of boat and yacht owners to ensure that only the family members residing in the same house are on board.

Here are the other restrictions:
*Continuation of work with the decision of the Council of Ministers which stipulates that, according to work need, no more than (80%) of the total number of employees in the government sector start their work at their place of work, while the rest of the employees start their work remotely, from their homes or upon request, depending on the circumstances.
*Continuation of the work of the Council of Ministers, which stipulates that no more than (80%) of the total number of workers in the private sector start their work at their place of work, and the rest of them start their work remotely from their homes.
*To allow meetings to be held with the attendance of no more than (5) persons for employees and workers in the governmental and private sectors, while taking precautionary measures and measures.
*Continuing work to compel all citizens and residents upon leaving the house for any reason to wear masks, unless the person is present himself while driving the vehicle or with his family.
*Continued work to oblige all citizens and residents to activate the (EHTERAZ) application on smartphones when leaving the house for any reason.
