Qatar Airways on Saturday announced that it would resume flights to Saudi Arabia, starting with services to Riyadh on Monday, followed by Jeddah on Thursday and Dammam on Saturday. It will operate daily services to Riyadh and Dammam and four flights a week to Jeddah.
All Qatar Airways flights to Saudi Arabia will be operated exclusively by widebody aircraft including the Boeing 777-300, Boeing 787-8 and Airbus A350, the airline added.
"Passengers in KSA will have the ability to connect to the largest network in the region with over 800 weekly frequencies to more than 110 destinations, more than any airline in the Middle East," Qatar Airways added on Twitter.
QatarAirways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker said, "We are very pleased with the positive outcome from the GCC Summit and the decision to reopen all borders with Qatar."
The airline added: "We welcome the opportunity to speak with any former employees in our neighboring countries who previously worked with #QatarAirways and request that they get in touch with us as we build our operations."
