People in Qatar should continue to keep sweaters handy, especially those in the Southern region, as the Qatar Meteorology Department on Wednesday said the prevailing cold weather is expected to continue over the weekend.
Minimum temperatures will range between 20 and 13 degree Celsius, especially during the nights and early mornings, while the maximum temperatures will oscillate between 22 and 26 degree Celsius, it added.
A cold spell is currently sweeping over Qatar, with the onset of Almerbania season that is characterised by a noticeable drop in temperatures and strong winds.
Last week, the QMD said cloud cover was expected to gradually build up from the start of this week, increasing chances of scattered rain in some place.
