State-owned public transport company Mowasalat (Karwa) on Thursday announced that all buses plying on routes 101 (Al Ruwais) 102 and 102X (Al Khor) will be withdrawn from service on Fridays from September 18.
In a tweet, Mowasalat said the routes will still be available during the rest of the week.
Mowasalat did not provide any reason for the decisions, other than saying: "For our passengers' health and safety..."
After staying suspended for several months following the COVID-19 outbreak in Qatar, Mowasalat resumed its road transport services in the beginning of September, when the country rolled out the fourth phase of lifting pandemic restrictions.
