At the conclusion of the 7th meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries, His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday witnessed the signing of the closing statement of the committee's meeting and a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the governments of the two countries.
HH the Amir and the Turkish president witnessed the signing of a protocol on the implementation of the letter of intent for cooperation in the areas of implementing major events between the governments of the two countries, a letter of intent on emergency and disaster management between the General Directorate of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior and the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of the Turkish Ministry of the Interior, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of ceremonies between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a letter of intent on the content partnership program between the Doha Forum and Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
HH the Amir and the Turkish president also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Development Bank and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization in Turkey, the first executive programme of the memorandum of understanding in the fields of youth and sports for the years (2022-2024), the first executive program of the memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences between the governments of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs for cooperation in the field of endowments and Islamic affairs, the executive program of the memorandum of understanding in the field of standardization between Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology and the Turkish Standards Institution, the second executive program of the memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field between the Ministry of Culture and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the two years (2022-2023), and an agreement of understanding between the Qatari Businessmen Association and the Turkish Investment Office.
The ceremony concluded with the signing of the joint statement issued by the 7th meeting of the Qatar - Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, and a number of ministers.
On the Turkish side, it was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials, members of the accompanying official delegation.
