Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), Qatar’s leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider, on Tuesday reported a net profit of QR108 million for the first half of 2021.
The company achieved total revenues of QR624 million and earnings per share stood at 0.18 Qatari riyals in the first half of 2021.
Commenting on the results, GWC Chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Fahad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani said, “The 2021 first-half results and the performance of all our divisions reflect the company’s resilience and commitment to offer world-class logistics services to our customers in spite of challenging times.”
GWC Group CEO Ranjeev Menon said, “We remain fully committed to our customers and shareholders and with the backing of our infrastructure, expertise and diligence, I am confident we will continue to develop and evolve toward reaching our long-term goals.”
He said that the company will continue to stay focused on profitability through innovation, sustainability and digitalisation while actively managing their portfolio.
Additionally, the development of the 1.5 million square meter Al Wukair Logistics Park that offers a whole suite of supply chain solutions to micro, small and medium enterprises has been progressing well. This Logistics Park due to its central location, close proximity to the airport and the port, coupled with a seamless offering of logistics services will be the main distribution hub for handling the World Cup logistics.
