Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani on Wednesday met with President of Inter-Parliamentary Union Duarte Pacheco, Chairperson of Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean Gennaro Migliore, Deputy Director of United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre and Chief of Special Projects and Innovation Branch Mauro Miedico and Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean Ambassador Sergio Piazzi.
They were in the country to participate in the inauguration of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) programme office on Parliamentary Engagement in Preventing and Countering Terrorism.
The meeting was attended by Speaker of the Shura Council HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud.
