The Qatari Amiri Air Force has performed a "capsule medical evacuation exercise", the Ministry of Defence said in a short statement on Wednesday.
A capsule medical evacuation is usually carried out to airlift patients that are contagious or infectious from hard-to-reach places.
The portability of the capsule means it can be fitted by first responders in patients and lower the risk of infection to first responders and possible contamination of environments such as ambulances, helicopters, planes and rescue ships. It allows the safe passage of the patient.
