The Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry has condemned what it described as continuing attack on Muslims by insulting the Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Qatar Chamber said the “systematic hostility to Islam” will have major repercussions in terms of commercial and economic relations as it was provoking the feelings of two billion Muslims around the world by deliberately offending the noble Messenger.

In Qatar, calls for a boycott of French products were trending on social media. Qatari supermarket chain Al Meera and several other supermarkets including the Qatar Shopping Complex, Souq Al Baladi and the Family Food Centre have announced withdrawal of French products from their shelves.
With the boycott call growing louder in the Arab world, more entities in Qatar have joined the movement, including the Approved Market in Aspire Zone, the Khulud Pharmacy and the Le Tran Blue Restaurant.
