Saudi Arabia will reopen its embassy in Qatar within days, its foreign minister said on Saturday.
“Our embassy will be reopened in Doha within days after completing necessary procedures,” Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan told a press conference in Riyadh.
It is just a matter of logistics, Farhan was quoted as saying by Reuters.
The top diplomat said that Saudi Arabia “will restore full diplomatic relations with Qatar”.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Egypt signed a reconciliation deal with Qatar on January 5, marking the beginning of the end of a more than three-year rift precipitated by a trade and travel blockade imposed on Qatar by the quartet in mid-2017.
Following the agreement, Saudi airlines Saudia and Qatar Airways resumed operations to Doha and Riyadh respectively.
