The Hamad Medical Corporation on Wednesday dismissed as incorrect a list being circulated on social media containing a set of medical or health conditions allegedly qualifiying as "exclusion criteria" for COVID-19 vaccination.
The incorrect list features 13 conditions in English and Arabic, and implies that people with any of these conditions should not get vaccinated.
Dismissing the list, the HMC said, "The Pfizer and BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is approved for all people aged 16 and above with the exception of people who have an allergy to one of the vaccine ingredients or who have previously had a severe allergic reaction to food or drugs of any kind.
"If you are contacted by PHCC and invited to a COVID-19 vaccination appointment and have concerns about the above exclusion criteria, please call the COVID-19 helpline on 16000.”
