The King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Monday witnessed touching moments on Monday as people who came on the first passenger flight from Doha to Riyadh in more than three years saw their relatives.
Bouquets and greetings were exchanged as people hugged and kissed upon meeting their relatives.

Qatar Airway flight QR1164 arrived at the Riyadh airport on Monday, becoming the first flight to leave for Riyadh from Doha following the reopening of the land, sea and air borders between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Qatar Airways now operates daily flights to Riyadh and has resumed operations to Jeddah and Dammam.
Saudi Airlines is also set to resume flights to Doha later on Monday.

The two states are seeking to normalize ties after striking a deal to end Saudi Arabia's 2017 blockade of Qatar.
The countries involved in the boycott — Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Egypt agreed to lift restrictions against Qatar at a summit last week.
Bahrain and the UAE announced that they would reopen their airspace to Qatar, although travelers are still not yet able to book direct flights on Emirati and Bahrani state-owned airlines.
