DOHA: The Meteorology Department has issued a cautionary advisory, warning residents of Qatar about anticipated weather conditions leading to poor horizontal visibility. According to the department's daily weather report, these conditions are expected to persist until 6 pm on Monday.

Inshore weather is projected to be misty to foggy in certain areas initially, transitioning to moderate temperatures during the daytime with intermittent clouds. As evening descends, the weather is forecasted to become progressively foggy and cold, particularly in some locations.

Offshore, the conditions will be characterized by haziness to mistiness intermittently, accompanied by cloud cover, as outlined in the department's report.

The wind pattern inshore is anticipated to be variable, predominantly veering from westerly to northwesterly at speeds ranging from 3 to 13 knots. Conversely, offshore winds are expected to maintain a northwesterly direction, ranging from 5 to 15 knots, with occasional gusts reaching 21 knots in the north.

The Meteorology Department has highlighted a significant concern regarding visibility. Initially ranging from 3 to 8 kilometers, visibility is projected to decrease dramatically, reaching 2 kilometers or less in certain locations.

Sea conditions inshore are anticipated to have a modest state with waves measuring 1 to 3 feet, while offshore locations, particularly in the north, may experience slightly choppier seas with waves ranging from 2 to 6 feet.

Residents and maritime activities are advised to exercise caution, especially in areas where poor horizontal visibility is expected. The Meteorology Department urges individuals to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during these challenging weather conditions.
