DOHA: The Department of Meteorology issued a cautionary advisory in its daily weather report for the inshore and offshore areas until 6pm on Wednesday. Residents and seafarers are urged to exercise caution due to expected misty to foggy conditions in most places, potentially leading to poor horizontal visibility.

In the inshore region, the weather is anticipated to be misty to foggy, with moderate daytime temperatures. The wind is initially expected to be variable, less than 05 knots, gradually becoming mainly northwesterly at 05 - 10 knots. Visibility inshore is predicted to be reduced to 3 - 8 km or less in most places initially.

Offshore, the conditions will be hazy to misty with scattered clouds at times. The wind is forecasted to be northwesterly at 3 - 13 knots. Offshore visibility is also expected to be affected, ranging from 4 - 8 km or less at first.

Sea conditions inshore are projected to have a slight to moderate state with wave heights between 1 - 2 feet. Offshore, the sea state is anticipated to be slightly more turbulent, with wave heights ranging from 1 - 3 feet.

Residents and mariners are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts, adhere to safety guidelines, and take necessary precautions while commuting or engaging in maritime activities during these challenging weather conditions. The Department of Meteorology will continue to monitor and update the public as needed.
