DOHA: First Lady of the Federal Republic of Germany Elke Budenbender visited the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), on Wednesday.
Germany's First Lady toured the museum and was briefed on its holdings of Islamic art masterpieces, which include metal and wood artefacts, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, coins, and glass.
She also saw art collectables that were collected from three continents, dating back 14 centuries. Shereceived an explanation of the establishment of the Museum of Islamic Art, the stages of its establishment, and its role in spreading science and culture, encouraging creativity and communicating with the cultures and arts of the world.
