Four people were brought dead to the hospital, and another four were seriously injured,” Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Ajith Kumar was quoted as saying by the India Today newspaper.

More than 60 people were hospitalized following the disaster, the Press Trust of India news agency reported. Kerala authorities said the stampede was uncontrollable and ordered an investigation into the incident, the India Today newspaper reported.
