With its campaign, ‘Soleful Strides: Empowering young players, one step at a time’, the Filipino Expatriates Sepak Takraw Association (FESTA) Qatar, has once again donated Sepaktakraw essentials to students in public schools across the Philippines.

The ‘I Shoes Youth Players’ received Sepak Takraw shoes made in Thailand. A total of 45 pairs were given away this month to beneficiary schools (15 pairs each for Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao).

According to FESTA-Qatar President Janno Rhey Soriano, most of the schools today lack financial support to fund shoes or equipment for their players. “On behalf of FESTA and in collaboration with Nanyang Shoes LT in Thailand, we donated 45 pairs of shoes to young aspiring Sepak Takraw players,” he added.

FESTA-Qatar is a Doha-based, non-government Filipino organisation that aims to develop the skills of the Filipino youth in Sepak Takraw (kick volleyball) sports.

The group has been actively supporting the Filipino community through Sepak Takraw sports training and donating sports equipment to underprivileged people both in the Philippines and Qatar.
