The eagerly awaited Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the Overseas Filipino Investors and Entrepreneurs-Movement (OFIE-M) recently took place at the Warwick Doha Hotel.

The event successfully gathered members from the OFIE-M community, fostering an atmosphere of enthusiasm and camaraderie.

The focal point of this year’s assembly was the dynamic business forum titled ‘Unveiling the Strategies for Business Growth’.

Attendees had the privilege of gaining insights from distinguished speakers who shared their mantra on attaining business success.

Renowned entrepreneurs in their respective domains, namely Rovic Cruz, Alaine Dale Pineda-Capute, and Dahlia Suratos Agbanlog, took center stage to disclose the secrets underpinning their flourishing enterprises.

Their narratives served as a wellspring of inspiration, instilling motivation in budding business proprietors within the OFIE-M community. They imparted practical guidance to surmount challenges, empowering others to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Additionally, the Media and Communication Committee shared a video documentary project chronicling the history of OFIE-M, providing new members with a comprehensive understanding of the organisation’s origins.

The President’s Report, a key highlight, was shared with all attendees. OFIE-M President Ferlita Young showcased the organisation’s achievements from January 2023 to the present.

The AGA also marked a significant moment for OFIE-M as it introduced the new leaders who will shape the organisation’s future. The event included the election of a new set of Officers and Board of Directors, with attendees witnessing their official induction. This transition of leadership highlights OFIE-M’s dedication to continuity and ensuring the sustained growth and impact of the organisation.

Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and unity as the OFIE-M team seized the occasion to connect with fellow members fostering a sense of closeness and camaraderie that the organisation aims to cultivate within the OFW community.

The success of the AGA was a testament to the organisation’s commitment to empowering its members and fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within the Filipino community in Qatar.

The event’s accomplishments this year exemplified the organisation’s mission and demonstrated the positive impact it continues to have on the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) community in Qatar.
